Event Testimonials

Jane Githui

"My experience with UniCEP’s Global Round in Sydney 2026 was both rewarding and deeply formative. As a mentor, I had the opportunity to support and guide a group of international students, helping them navigate the program while ensuring they felt welcomed and comfortable throughout their time in Australia. It was especially fulfilling to build connections with participants and see them engage with the experience. In addition to my mentoring responsibilities, I also took on a leading role in planning and coordinating elements of the event setup. This included contributing to the overall event layout, organising materials, and supporting the execution of the final venue arrangement. Being involved in both the planning and implementation stages gave me valuable hands-on experience in event coordination, problem-solving, and working under time pressure. The experience also highlighted the importance of clear communication and well-defined roles within a team environment. At times, responsibilities evolved beyond the initial scope, which required adaptability and initiative. While this presented some challenges, it ultimately strengthened my ability to remain composed, take ownership where needed, and deliver outcomes in a dynamic setting. Overall, this experience allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I developed stronger leadership, organisational, and communication skills, and gained a deeper appreciation for teamwork in high-pressure environments. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful international program and to have played a role in delivering a successful event, and if considered, I would love to do this again! With utmost appreciation "

"The event exceeded our expectations in every aspect; organisation, communication, and overall experience. It was clear that student wellbeing and safety were a top priority, which we greatly appreciated. UniCEP created a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students. I highly appreciate the effort put into both academics and student wellbeing. It was a pleasure to be part of such a professionally run international event. The cultural activities complemented the academic program beautifully. I really enjoyed meeting students from around the world and learning about different cultures. One of the best parts was making new friends and sharing this experience together. The excursions and activities made the whole experience even more fun and memorable. I feel more confident in my abilities after participating in this event. I will always remember this experience and the people I met. I would love to participate in UniCEP again in the future."

What these students gain from joining these Olympaids are not just limited to medals, it includes valuable experiences and moments of their life they will never want to forget. Thank you IMEC and JEO Olympiads for making it possible for students to be part of such an amazing journey, and we hope to walk together for a long time."

Mr. Mustafa and Mr. Max are both really humble and helpful. We don't even feel that they are the heads of UniCEP Sydney. They were trying to make the participants and their families feel comfortable. Furthermore, they tried to introduce their culture and heritage to us. Sometimes they are mentors, and sometimes they are tour guides. Even at the end of our last day in Sydney, they gave us a warm farewell, which was really appreciated.

“As a parent, I am very grateful for the care and organisation provided. My child had a wonderful experience and came back more motivated. This was more than just a competition, it was a life experience. My child made new friends, explored a new country, and gained confidence. My child felt safe, supported, and inspired throughout the event. That means a lot to us as parents. The balance between academics and cultural activities made this a meaningful and enriching experience for my child. We are very thankful to UniCEP for creating such a unique opportunity for students to shine on an international stage. Seeing my child grow in confidence and independence after the Global Round was incredibly rewarding. The mentors and organisers were approachable and caring, which made a big difference for both students and parents. Everything was thoughtfully planned, and we felt reassured throughout the entire journey.”
